Dr. Ken Pool is Chairman of Board & Chief Operating Officer of OZ Systems, a board certified neurologist and clinical electrophysiologist, who brings extensive experience as a physician health care informaticist. His 20 years of experience in clinical and academic medicine included educating medical students, neurology residents as well as physical therapists, speech language pathologists and audiologists. With more than 15 years of experience in the health information technology sector, Dr. Pool has been a contributor on projects at the Centers for Disease Control the National Library of Medicine and the Advisory Committee on Heritable Disorders in Children and Newborns.

Dr. Pool contributed to the development of new LOINC codes as part of his work with Newborn Blood Screening Programs and regularly designs algorithms for matching data sets. He has been working with state and national public health programs for more than 15 years, designing and implementing integrated child health records in the United States, and internationally. In addition, he has more than 5 years of direct experience with the design and implementation of electronic educations records serving early education sectors ranging from private child care to Head Start and to public Independent School Districts. He and his team have given numerous presentations related to optimizing education and health care, building public health capacity, health information technology, health care information technology standards, quality of care improvements related to technology. He is a member of Integrating the Health Care Enterprises and the Mountain States Regional Genetic Collaborative among other organizations.
